Neighborhood Food Drives

A program that meets specific requests and fills gaps at local pantries by mobilizing community members to host targeted food drives in their neighborhoods and/or businesses. The Food Drive maintains ongoing communication with local pantries regarding items most needed. To facilitate the drives, we provide a “Food Drive Kit” for hosts, which includes a collection bin, a list of items, a schedule for the drive, a sample flyer to promote the drive, and finally coordination of transport of all collected items at the end of the drive.

Community members host targeted drives including the following:

• Breakfast Drive

• Christmas Drive

• Healthy Snacks Drive

• Portable Meals Drive

• Thanksgiving Drive

Drives have been hosted by individuals, families, schools, businesses, neighborhoods, civic organizations, clubs, Scout troops, churches, and sports teams.
